    What is HiPP HA 1?

HiPP HA Stage 1 is a hypoallergenic infant formula specifically designed for babies aged 0-6 months. It is produced using a special process that hydrolyzes the milk proteins into smaller pieces, excluding casein from cow's milk. This makes it easier to digest and less likely to cause allergies.

    Does HiPP HA contain dairy?
Yes, HiPP HA does contain dairy. The formula is made using "hydrolyzed" dairy, which means the dairy proteins have been broken down into simple molecules to reduce the risk of allergic reactions. This milk protein is an important factor to trigger allergies, so HiPP stage 1 contains milk that is split into simple molecules which is crucial to the success of allergy prevention. It is worth noting that extensively hydrolyzed proteins do not cause reactions in about 90% of infants with cow's milk protein allergy, because they contain much smaller protein fragments. HiPP formulas always are based on lactose from organic skim milk, contain added whey to more closely resemble breast milk protein composition, and typically include no gluten, GMOs, or preservatives.

    Is HiPP HA partially Hydrolyzed?

HiPP Hypoallergenic PRE formula is partially hydrolyzed, meaning the cow's milk proteins are broken down by approximately 86-87%. This effectively reduces the risk of allergies to milk protein. HiPP HA is formulated using “hydrolyzed” dairy, which means it is suitable for babies with allergies or digestion problems.

When should I start HiPP stage 1?

HiPP Stage 1 Combiotic Baby Milk Formula is suitable for babies from birth to 6 months and is the perfect choice for supplementing with breast milk or for exclusive bottle-feeding. The formula is nutritionally complete and contains prebiotics, probiotics, DHA, and is organic with no added sugar. HiPP recommends moving to Stage 2 only if your baby isn't satisfied. With this in mind, HiPP Stage 1 is the perfect choice for your little one from birth until 6 months.

    Is HiPP HA Formula Organic?

No, HiPP HA 1, HA 2 & HA Pre formulas cannot be certified as organic as hydrolyzed milk protein is not available in organic form. However, the formula is made using “hydrolyzed” dairy, which is suitable for little ones from birth to six months who show symptoms of an allergy to cow's milk. HiPP Hypoallergenic formula is designed to meet the needs of children who are at risk of allergies and support their intestinal microbiota and strengthen their immune system. This formula can be used to supplement breastmilk or can be used alongside it.

How do you prepare HiPP Hypoallergenic formula?

Use our HiPP Hypoallergenic formula instructions above for an in-depth explanation. It mixes like most powder formulas and involves boiling water and placing all the contents in a sterilized bottle before shaking the bottle. Please consult with your pediatrician to see if HiPP HA is a good option for your baby.
