Learn More About Loulouka Organic Baby Formula
A newcomer to the formula industry, Loulouka was founded in Switzerland in 2012, and hit the market in 2019. Their mission was to create an organic baby formula without the use of palm oil, soy oil, and with a skim milk base. They also have high environmental standards and are certified organic in the EU. Their signature protocol requires 50 specialized quality checks to ensure each formula is safe.
Loulouka stage 1 contains no maltodextrin, only lactose as its main sweetener. While originally made with whole milk, Loulouka has switched to using skimmed milk due to EU regulations. The fat content of whole milk fluctuates depending on the season or what exactly the cow has eaten, so in order to meet standards, a fatty acid profile of oils must be added, and the process must be constantly adjusted. To optimize the process, the milk is briefly heated to stabilize the fat level and then the oil blend is added to create the correct fat content necessary.
