Holle Stage 2 Benefits
Traditional Farming Methods
Holle milk is a Demeter certified brand, which means that they use organic practices that are sustainable and beneficial to the environment. Holle understands that your baby’s nutrition starts with holistic animal husbandry. By using traditional farming methods and integrating eco-friendly technology, Holle helps millions of babies have access to organic baby food.
Unlike HiPP, which uses exclusively lactose as a sweetener, Holle baby formula uses a combination of both Lactose and Maltodextrin in all of its formulas. Maltodextrin is a great carbohydrate alternative for babies that experience digestive issues with lactose, like Celiac disease, sensitive skin, constipation, and gas.
Affordable Breast Milk Alternative
Holle is committed to educating the world about the magic of infant formula. However, for those who can’t breastfeed, many organic formula options are expensive and cost-prohibitive. By creating a healthy, Organic Formula using German efficiency, their product is easy to mix, great tasting, affordable, and wholesome.
No Refined Sugar or Chemicals
Both cow and goat milk varieties are perfect for parents looking for a short list of Wholesome Ingredients. Free from refined sugar, synthetic chemicals, and heavy metals, Holle baby formula is sure to give you peace of mind… and a strong, healthy baby!

When should I switch to Holle Stage 2?
Once your baby hits 6 months, it's recommended you make the switch to Stage 2 so that your little one can continue to get exactly what they need in terms of nutrition. Holle Stage 2 is perfect for babies between six months and a year old who are ready to take on solid foods with their formula. Additionally, Stage 2 milk formula contains starch, which helps to keep babies full for longer.
Is it necessary to switch to Stage 2 formula?
Stage 2 baby formulas are recommended for infants who are six months of age and older. This is when their body needs extra nutrients, which Stage 2 provides. Some families may choose to stay with Stage 1. However, they should realize that Stage 2 contains additional nutrients for growing babies. Sometimes, it may be necessary to transition to Stage 2 when your little one shows signs of not tolerating Stage 1 any longer.
How do you transition to Stage 2 formula?
The best way to do this is by mixing the new formula with the older formula. In the first two days, the parents can start by adding 25% of the new formula to the older formula, thereby reducing your usual volume of formula to 75%. Add 25% of the new formula. Do this on every feed for 2 days. Then reduce the volume of the old formula by another 25%.
Again, do this on every feed for 2 days. Finally, give your baby only the new formula only. Stage 2 formulas contain most of the same ingredients that you'll find in an infant formula except they generally have higher levels of protein, calcium, and phosphorus.
