To ensure the comfort of your little one, HiPP developed a specialty formula to be used by infants suffering from colic, constipation, or other gastrointestinal issues. Non-GMO and free of any sugar or corn syrup, HiPP Comfort Formula is a great alternative to breast milk. It is easy to digest and suitable for little ones of any age, including those who have introduced solids into their diets.
Containing less lactose than other HiPP products, this unique blend consists of maltodextrin and starch to promote a thicker consistency that will keep your little one full while also helping to soften stool, reduce gas and alleviate stomach issues. Hydrolyzed whey proteins and probiotics dietary fibers (GOS) combined with a special fat blend encourage easier and more comfortable digestion. Packed with essential vitamins and minerals, HiPP Comfort formula also contains Probiotics and Prebiotics such as galacto-oligosaccharides from lactose to help improve your little one’s gut microbiome and strengthen their immune system. Packed with a unique vegetable oil featuring beta palmitate, your little one will be delivered necessary omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids including DHA and ARA to promote proper development of the brain, eyes, and nervous system without the gastrointestinal side effects.
This nutrient-rich formula contains no synthetic preservatives so you can trust you’re feeding your little one formula of the highest quality. Just like all other HiPP products, parents can feel comfortable that all formulas prioritize the health, well-being, and comfort of their child.
Why Choose HiPP Comfort?
As a parent, seeing your baby in pain can be stressful. Colic, constipation, and other gastrointestinal (GI) problems can be common issues that babies face. HiPP Comfort milk formula is a specialized baby formula that relieves colic, constipation, and other gastrointestinal problems. It contains milk protein, prebiotics, and probiotics to help with digestion, as well as Galacto-oligosaccharide, which passes into the colon undigested and helps promote the development of good bacteria in the digestive system. But what makes HiPP Comfort stand out from other formulas on the market? Keep reading to find out more!
How Comfort Formula Improves Different Conditions
The following is how Comfort formula improves different conditions:
Colic
Colic is a common problem among babies that causes pain, gas, and fussiness throughout the day. HiPP Comfort formula contains prebiotics that help reduce colic symptoms by improving digestion. This allows babies to take in more nutrients from their food while reducing their discomfort at mealtime.
Constipation
Constipation is another common issue for young babies that can be painful and uncomfortable until it passes. HiPP Comfort has both prebiotics and probiotics to help alleviate constipation issues. It promotes regular bowel movements with softer stools that are easier to pass.
Gastrointestinal Problems
HiPP Comfort also includes galacto-oligosaccharides, which pass through the digestive system undigested. They are then broken down by beneficial bacteria in the colon into short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs). These SCFAs help increase bowel mass. This in turn leads to improved digestion in general and better absorption of nutrients for overall health benefits.
Prep
Formula Preparation
Wash hands and sterilize all equipment following the manufacturer's instructions.
Boil 1 liter of fresh drinking water and leave to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
Measure the required amount of water into a sterilized bottle (refer to the feeding guide).
Using only the scoop provided, add the correct number of scoops of formula powder - 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water (approx. 30ml). Level off the powder. Do not press down on the powder.
Place cap(s) back on the bottle and shake rigorously until all the powder has dissolved (usually 15 seconds).
Cool down formula to a drinking temperature of approx. 98.6°F (37°C) by holding the bottle under cool running water. Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding every time.

What's the Difference Between HiPP Comfort & HiPP Anti-Reflux?
HiPp Anti-Reflux (AR) formula is designed for babies who suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This formula has an added thickening agent that helps keep stomach contents down where they belong. The reason is to ensure these contents don’t reflux back into the esophagus, causing discomfort or pain.
HiPP Comfort does not contain this thickening agent but instead relies on its unique blend of ingredients such as:
- Prebiotic fibers
- Probiotic cultures
- Galacto-oligosaccharides
These provide relief from colic, constipation, and other problems. While both types of formulas offer different benefits depending on your baby’s needs, you should consult with your doctor before deciding what kind would be best suited for them.

FAQs
Does HiPP Comfort Contain Starch?
HiPP Comfort does not contain any starch. This makes it ideal for infants with allergies or intolerances to certain ingredients commonly found in most baby formulas.
Does Comfort Formula work?
Comfort formula is an effective blend for providing relief from colic, constipation, and other related issues. The formula is also known for helping promote healthy gut bacteria levels within infants and is a suitable alternative to breast milk.
Does HiPP comfort work for cow's milk allergies?
Yes. The combination of prebiotic fibers plus probiotic cultures found within HiPP Comfort makes it an ideal alternative source of nutrition for your baby. This is especially helpful for babies that cannot tolerate cow's milk due to its allergenic properties.
Does HiPP Comfort Contain Lactose?
HiPP Comfort does not contain any lactose whatsoever. This makes it suitable for those with lactose intolerance or sensitivity toward dairy products in general.
How Much HiPP Comfort Should You Buy?
It depends on how much your infant needs. Generally, one container should last around two weeks, give or take, depending on age or weight.
What Formula Should Be Used After HiPP Comfort?
Once your infant attains the age of six months, they should transition onto a follow-up or stage 2 type product like our organic first Infant Milk powder. Thus, they won't have to continue with HiPP Comfort. This is because, at this point, their digestive systems would already be fully developed to require such specialized nutritional support anymore.
Is Comfort Formula organic?
Yes. All our products, including our Comfort Formula, are certified organic. You can be sure that you're giving only safe, natural ingredients free from synthetic additives or preservatives when feeding them to your little ones!
