Why Isn't HiPP HA Formula Certified Organic?

HiPP HA formula is not certified as organic due to the lack of organic hydrolyzed milk protein. HiPP only sources its formulas from farms that strictly follow EU (European Union) organic farming, however, the hydrolyzed milk protein which is used in this formula is not available in organic form. So, although HiPP HA uses all organic ingredients, there is no way to certify the hydrolyzed milk as organic. For this reason, HiPP Hypoallergenic (HA 1, 2 and Pre) formulas cannot be certified as organic.

How Many Bottles of Prepared Formula Can One Box of HiPP Make?

HiPP HA Stage 2 Combiotic Formula can make around 146.8 fluid ounces, which is the same as 29 five-ounce bottles.

Combiotic Stage 2 Formula Preparation

Wash hands and sterilize all equipment following the manufacturer's instructions. 

Boil fresh drinking water(using the table below for guidance) and leave to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water

Measure 2/3 of the water into a sterilized bottle (refer to the feeding guide). 

Using only the scoop provided, add the correct number of scoops of formula powder - Normally 1 level scoop of formula powder to each fluid ounce of water (approx. 30ml). Level off the formula powder.  Do not press down on the formula powder. 

Place cap(s) back on the bottle and shake rigorously until all the formula powder has dissolved (usually 15 seconds). 

Add the remaining water and mix well again so it is evenly distributed.

Cool down the formula to a drinking temperature of approx. 98.6°F (37°C) by holding the bottle under cool running water. Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding every time.

When Should My Baby Switch to HiPP Stage 2?

HiPP Stage 2 is designed for babies from 6 months onwards. It is an ideal choice for continued formula feeding once you have switched from breastfeeding or infant milk feeding at 6 months old. It contains vital nutrients such as iron and vitamins A, C and D. HiPP Stage 2 can be fed on its own or as a supplement to breast milk if you decide to keep breastfeeding past the 6-month mark.

What are the Main Differences between HiPP HA1 & HiPP HA 2?

Hypoallergenic baby formula is designed for babies who can't tolerate cow's milk-based formulas, and include while organic baby formula is made with ingredients that meet higher standards of natural production. Hypoallergenic formulas are either partially hydrolyzed or extensively hydrolyzed proteins and for this reason can't be certified as an organic formula. These processes break down the proteins in the milk, making them easier to digest and less likely to trigger an allergic reaction. Organic formulas are made with ingredients that are produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, antibiotics, growth hormones, genetic engineering, or irradiation. So, if your baby has a cow's milk protein allergy, hypoallergenic formula is the best option.
