How Many Bottles of Formula Does a Box of HiPP Make?

On average, one box (400g) will make approximately 20 bottles of formula. However, the total number depends on how old your baby is and how much HiPP formula he or she requires.

How Long Is HiPP Formula Good For?

Once the formula pouch is opened, HiPPformula has a storage life of 3 weeks. After opening, it is important to store it in a dry, dark, and clean place, ideally in a sealable container.

Can Unused Formula Be Reused?

No. Leftover formula should be thrown away if it has been left out to avoid bacteria that can multiply since the last feeding. Additionally, unopened infant formula containers should be stored in a cool, dry place such as a pantry or cabinet.

Ingredients Used in HiPP Baby Formula

Each formula includes powdered organic milk, organic vegetable oils, and vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin K, and essential fatty acids.

HiPP only uses milk from farms that fully comply with the guidelines of organic farming. Cows are kept in conditions appropriate for their species; they graze on natural meadows where no mineral fertilizers or chemical, synthetic agents are used. The natural grass, hay and grains they eat ensure the best organic quality for our milk that is so rich in nutrients. This makes organic milk for HiPP milk formulae such a valuable food. HiPP formula is also certified as organic and adheres to the famously strict European standards, which are far more rigorous when compared to those within the United States.

How to Prepare HiPP Formula

Each individual formula includes its own set of instructions. Refer to the individual product pages to find the English preparation instructions.

Wash hands and sterilize all equipment following the manufacturer's instructions.

Boil fresh drinking water (using the table below for guidance) and leave to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water

Measure 2/3 of the water into a sterilized bottle (refer to the feeding guide).

Using only the scoop provided, add the correct number of scoops of powder - Normally 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water (approx. 30ml). Level off the powder. Do not press down on the powder.

Place cap(s) back on the bottle and shake rigorously until all the powder has dissolved (usually 15 seconds).

Add the remaining water and mix well again so it is evenly distributed.

Cool down formula to a drinking temperature of approx. 98.6°F (37°C) by holding the bottle under cool running water. Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding every time.

Formula Preparation Best Practices

Infant formula in a container should be used within one month of being opened. Write the date that the container was opened on the lid to ensure you stay within this window. Make sure the scoop is clean prior to scooping powder from the container.

Make sure the lid is sealed tight and secure when finished. Unfinished baby formula that is refrigerated quickly can be stored for feeding within 24 hours. Otherwise, they should be discarded.

Why Are US Parents Choosing European Formula?
