Preparation
Step 1:

Wash hands and sterilize all equipment following the manufacturer's instructions. 

Step 2:

Boil 1 liter of fresh drinking water and leave to cool for no longer than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water. 

Step 3:

Measure the required amount of water into a sterilized bottle (refer to the feeding guide). 

Step 4:

Using only the scoop provided, add the correct number of scoops of formula powder - 1 level scoop of powder to each fluid ounce of water (approx. 30ml). Level off the powder using the scoop leveler. Do not press down on the powder. 

Step 5:

Place cap(s) back on the bottle and shake vigorously until all the powder has dissolved (usually 15 seconds). 

Step 6:

Cool down the formula to a drinking temperature of approx. 98.6°F (37°C) by holding the bottle under cool running water. Feed immediately. Always test the temperature of the milk before feeding.

Making the Switch to Kendamil Classic Stage 1

What is the Recommended Ratio of New to Old Formula?

It's always important to take a formula transition slowly with babies who are experiencing allergies, formula intolerance, or are experiencing a medical condition or premature birth weight. Use this guide and transition to the next part every 1-2 days. This guide is based on the baby consuming 4 oz of baby formula.

Days 1-2: 3 oz of the current formula, 1 oz of the new formula

Days 3-4: 2 oz of the current formula, 2 oz of the new formula

Days 5-6: 1 oz of the current formula, 3 oz of the new formula

Day 7+: 4 oz of new formula

Note that it may take as long as two weeks for your baby to adjust to the new formula so prolonging each part of the guide is perfectly fine.
